Solar Swimming Pool Heaters

You can significantly reduce swimming pool heating costs by installing a solar pool heater. They're cost competitive with both gas and heat pump pool heaters, and they have very low annual operating costs. Actually, solar pool heating is the most cost-effective use of solar energy.

How They Work
Pool water is pumped through the solar collector(s), that are installed on the roof, where it is heated before it is returned to the pool. Our system features a solar thermostat that links your new solar system and your pool heater together to heat the pool and spa to your desired temperature.  As a rule of thumb, we tell our customers that they can expect the solar system to heat the spa and pool up to 15 degrees above the resting temperature of the water.  So the solar would be primary to heat the pool and spa and once it peaks out, the gas pool heater would be activated to heat the rest of the way to your target temperature.
Solar pool collectors are made out of different materials. In this climate, 4’ x 12’ panels are generally used.  The number of panels you need depends on the square footage of the pool and the total volume of the pool.
Installation typically takes one working week.
